Banners and a Lovely Card

These are some of the projects we’ve been making at Stampin’ Up! parties.

The card has a simple layout that allows you to play with your stamp sets and ink pads. Allowing some white space around your card gives the eyes some breathing space.

This gorgeous butterfly banner was made using the Swallowtail stamp from Stampin’ Up!. The other banner was made using different stamp sets. So much fun to make and perfect as a little gift to someone special.

Card Making Tip – Blackboard Technique

Here is a simple technique to make your paper look like a blackboard:

  1. Hold your Staz-On white ink pad at an angle and run it across your black card stock lightly. When you are satisfied with how much white smear you’ve got, set it aside to dry. You now have a blackboard
  2. Using a Versamark ink pad, stamp on your blackboard card and then sprinkle white embossing powder all over. Give it a quick tap to get rid of excess powder
  3. Using a heat tool, heat the image until shiny
  4. Finish off the card with embellishments to add colour
  5. You are done

Try this technique today and discover how easy it is to make. You will love it! Enjoy and happy card making!
